About Me
Completed a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Mining Engineering at UBC, and a Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Civil Engineering at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG). Registered as an EIT with APEGA. Topics related to soil and rock behavior are my passion. My interests include Geotechnical Engineering, Soil Mechanics, Rock Mechanics, Mine Waste Management, and Dam Engineering.

• Prepared short-range mine plans and schedules for the A21 open pit to ensure operations have a defined mining sequence to achieve production targets; • Designed blast patterns for the A21 open pit using Vulcan; • Engaged with the geotechnical team continuously to adjust controlled blasting techniques to improve the quality of final walls; • Conducted design compliance studies to assess damage to walls, catch bench, bench faces, and over- or under-digging of toe, face and crest; • Analyzed performance data to identify improvement opportunities.

• Conducted quality control inspections of construction activities for the Processed Kimberlite Containment (PKC) Dam raise and North Country Rock Pile (NCRP) Closure project, to ensure construction adhere to technical specifications and design drawings; • Executed grain size analysis, proctor compaction tests, nuclear gauge density tests, moisture tests, and monitored geotechnical instrumentation (TDR’s and thermistors) as part of the quality control activities. • Provided survey support to field operators to confirm construction as per technical specifications and design drawings using Trimble R10 GNSS System; • Produced daily reports to document construction progress; • Selected to be part of the 2021 Mining Engineering Graduate Program at Diavik.
