My thesis focused on the capacity of smallholders in the Zambian sugar industry to participate in water governance within their smallholder outgrower schemes. My research was part of a larger project run by the International Water Security Network

  • The Australian National University (2017 - 2018 ) Research Assistant - Urban Climate Governance

    My role was to research and collect data on urban climate governance in select African cities. I carried out research on Johannesburg, Cape Town, Dakar and Maputo. This was part of a larger comparative study of urban climate governance in major cities around the world.

  • Sustainability Truthing (2016 - 2017 ) Sustainability Consultant

    In this position my role was: Sustainability strategy and planning - helping clients understand how to identify, prioritise, and manage environmental and social issues. Sustainability reporting - preparing data, developing content, editing final reports.   • In On Africa (IOA) (2016 - 2023 ) Research Assistant

    I was part of IOA\'s three month Research Assistant Program. In this role I assisted the IOA team in carrying out expert research and analysis of Africa’s political, economic, financial and social affairs.

  • Monash University (2014 - 2015 ) Graduate Research Assistant - Water Research Node

    As a Water Node graduate research assistant at Monash University (South African Campus) I carried out research for the Water Node.   • Bulawayo City Council (BCC): Water Department-GIS (2013 - 2013 ) Intern - Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

    I worked as an intern in the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) section of the Water Engineering Department of the BCC in 2013. I was involved in the digitalization of paper maps, using Arc GIS software. I also mapped streetlights and water sampling points using a GPS and then transferred the coordinates onto ARC GIS software to create digital maps. I was also involved in the day to day interaction with clients dealing with their water supply issues and general administration.

  • Oxfam (2012 - 2012 ) Intern

    I was selected to participate in the Oxfam-Monash Placement Programme between January and February 2012. I was placed in one of Oxfam’s partner organizations as an intern. I worked with Woza Moya ,a community based NGO that deals with a community affected by HIV. I was involved in their Water, Health and Sanitation (WASH) program as well as their Early Childhood Development (ECD) Center daily activities.

  • AIESEC Monash (2010 - 2012 ) Local Chapter Vice-President– Outgoing Exchange

    As Vice President in charge of Outgoing Exchange my role was to sell the \AIESEC experience\ to Monash students. I worked with the rest of the AIESEC executive board and lead a team under me. We marketed AIESEC held information sessions, selected, and matched students to international internships and we provided support for the students even whilst they were on their internships.
