Job Description

Clickable Impact is seeking an experienced and dynamic communications strategist to co-lead our Communications and Public Affairs Consulting Group. The Director will be responsible for developing communications strategies and programs, coaching and mentoring a consultant team, setting and enforcing a high standard for deliverables, presenting work to clients, and supporting business development. The Director will work alongside a practice group manager responsible for systems and processes. This “co-chair” structure allows the Director to specialize in strategy, creativity, and aligning Clickable Impact’s work with our clients’ business goals.

The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree and at least 10 years of experience in communications, preferably in an international development agency, multilateral development bank, consulting firm, or communications agency. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and grow the Communications and Public Affairs Consulting Group by setting strategic direction, building a strong team, and delivering exceptional client service.
  • Develop and implement communications strategies and campaigns to support the project objectives of clients in the international development and business association sectors, with a particular focus on climate mitigation, resilience, or adaptation projects.
  • Oversee projects, ensuring that KPIs are exceeded and that deliverables meet Clickable Impact’s quality standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, identifying opportunities for business development and proposal writing.
  • Stay up to date with current trends and innovations in the field of communications, incorporating these into project work and advising clients on best practices.
  • Manage team members, providing guidance and coaching as needed, and fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Participate in the company’s senior leadership team, contributing to the development and execution of the company’s strategic plan.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s degree in a relevant subject.
  • At least 10 years of experience in strategic communications.
  • Strong understanding of the international development sector and experience working with international development agencies, multilateral development banks, and/or business associations.
  • Strong familiarity with the issues and vocabulary surrounding climate action.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with communication software and tools.
  • Willingness to travel.

Remuneration

Competitive base salary with accelerated profit sharing at 3 months, 1 year, and 3 years. Generous PTO. Flexible working arrangements.
