JOB DESCRIPTION

The Associate Communications Consultant will be responsible for supporting a portfolio of communications projects with clients in development. Clickable Impact’s client roster includes the Asian Development Bank; the World Bank; bilateral agencies including AFD, GIZ, and the EU; and UN agencies.

You will collaborate with a Senior Associate to manage client relationships, strategies, budgets, and work plans. On a typical day, you might a public affairs strategy to secure support for new waste management infrastructure, lead a standup meeting to check the progress of a website under development, hold a client meeting to discuss an upcoming press conference, and write scripts for a new animated explainer series about green bonds.

Working hours: 9 am – 6 pm Monday-Friday. Flexible schedules may be considered for working parents. All consultants must attend a mandatory 15-minute all-hands standup meeting every weekday morning at 10 am. Two days every month, you will be required to work in person in Ortigas Center, Pasig City.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Associate Communications Consultant will work across a matrixed team. You will collaborate with a Senior Associate on client and project management responsibilities. You will develop and implement strategies and approaches with the Communications and Public Affairs practice director and practice manager. You will manage progress toward deliverables in concert with a content production team. Detailed responsibilities are as follows:

1. Content
– Write articles, press releases, scripts, and other written outputs.
– Develop compelling slide decks.
– Collaborate with other members of the team to develop visual/multimedia concepts.

2. Project Management
– Plan and manage projects for superior outcomes, profitability, and on-time delivery.
– Prepare progress reports for clients and integrate their feedback.
– Configure new clients and new projects in the company’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) and project management systems. Keep systems up to date with current project data and be prepared to explain data points to management.
– Maintain positive relationships across project teams and with production resources.
– Contribute to positive client relationships, including prompt handling of client concerns.

3. Consulting
– Research and contribute to communications strategies.
– Help respond to ad hoc client requests.

4. New Business
– Contribute to new business proposals and presentations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

– Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, international development, or a related field.
– Minimum 3 years of professional experience in strategic communications with an international development agency, international NGO, or with relevant clients in a consulting or agency setting.
– Fluent speaking and writing ability in English.
