I am a General Practitioner/ Family Physician with a solid background in both independent general practice (attending to a diverse patient base, pediatric and adult on different consultation capacities i.e, immunization, chronic health, infectious diseases, women’s health, minor procedures etc) and hospital practice (emergency department and with hospital admission rights) in the Philippines. As at current, I keep updating my knowledge both through local and international forums, currently through webinars and internet communications. My primary medical qualifications have been verified correct by the International Credentials Service (EICS) of the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG)). I also hold a Master’s Degree in Public Health and has been working in Quality Assurance for healthcare several years now, interacting not only with the facility I work for but also externally with various government and non government organizations and facilities in the Philippines. I have international qualifications particularly for Australia (AMC MCQ passer; have done MCQ and clinical bridging courses under HEAL/VMPF; CPD trainings through the RACGP or Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and other accredited providers).
At the moment: I am leading the facility I work for in the fight against Covid 19 (Interim Covid 19 Response Coordinator); directly seeing and attending to both Covid and Non Covid patients; addressing our staff and patient needs in this time of Pandemic; networking and coordinating with other facilities to work hand in hand to address the pandemic; updating my knowledge and the staff through webinars; providing telemedicine and teleconsult for some patients. I am instrumental in the adoptions and innovations being implemented in our facility, whether learned from best practice interim guidelines or experience of other centers or our own practical response to our own needs. Trying to be safe while working with my staff on the frontlines of this pandemic.
