Main Roles and Responsibilities  Servicing and maintaining a variety of mining equipment – front end loaders, excavators, rock breakers, bulldozers, drill rigs and tipper trucks  Dismantling and assembling machine parts, engines and other components to replace worn out parts  Diagnosing and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical faults  Field service duties and attending breakdowns  Conducting routine inspections and schedule maintenance of plant equipment  Perform routine lubrication and checks of equipment on start and end of shifts to ensure machines are working to site compliance  Participating in safety discussions and implementing safety and health standards in the field  Completing job cards and reporting to the supervisor where improvement is needed  Maintaining and servicing trucks and workshop vehicles

Main roles and Responsibilities  Overall management of earthmoving engineering division on a mining site. This includes maintenance and repair of mobile equipment (Sandvik drill rigs DP1500 & DX800, Hyundai-cat excavators, cat-shantui front end loaders, cat graders, cat-shantui bulldozers, howo tipper trucks and forklifts)  Job planning and scheduling services and repairs required on mobile equipment  Components overhauling i.e., cat engines, transmissions, hydraulic-pneumatic components as well as modifications required  Trouble shooting of cat engines faults using ET systems  Overseeing adherence to safety, health and environmental quality protocols in accordance with company policy  Supervision of artisans and training of students on attachment  Creating tracking systems for services and compiling daily, weekly and monthly reports on work done on equipment  Planning for operational targets for the workshop in line with organisational objectives and strategies  Collaborating with the procurement department for efficient spares and equipment purchasing

I have worked on three major mining and construction sites under Drilling Resources Zimbabwe as the Diesel Plant Fitter in charge of maintenance and repairs of Sandvik surface drill rigs : 1/ Zimbabwe Platinum mines 2/ Murowa Diamonds mine 3/ Zimbabwe Power Company Hwange expansion project Worked with Sandvik DI550, DP1500i, DX800 and Pantera 1100 drill rigs in open cast mining responsible for the following duties:- - perform maintenance work including inspection, servicing and repair of drill rigs - perform fault diagnosis and rectification to mechanical equipment - perform technical inspections on mechanical equipment and assess parts required to effect repairs - perform electrical and welding duties on machines - implement and practice Safety Health Environment and Quality procedures and standards - ensure the availability of top hammer, bottom hammer drill rigs as well as charging trucks - assessing and making requisitions of spares required on machine repairs ans services - training of apprentices and attachees
