As a CS Specialist, I help build loyalty amongst Taxify riders through attending to queries, providing information about our service in a friendly and professional manner. I helped in onboarding drivers and helping maintain their profiles while advising them on how to make the most of this ride-sharing business opportunity. I have built a wide understanding of the ride-sharing industry and the experience of working in an international start-up. My experience as a commercial graduate trainee at Colgate-Palmolive East West Africa Region prepared me for the corporate arena. During my time at Colgate-Palmolive I rotated through the marketing and retail marketing departments. I worked closely with a senior brand manager in the marketing department where I had the opportunity to be part of the planning, implementing and reporting of a large marketing campaign that ran across 7 countries in 3 different languages. This campaign involved close work with public relations agencies, digital marketing agencies, bulk SMS providers, media buying, advertising on radio, television and in-store, logistics, marketing activations as well as reporting to the marketing director.

As Marketing manager for a small mining contracting company based in KweKwe, Zimbabwe, I launched the company’s first concerted drive into the digital space. This involved establishing a digital footprint for the company on major digital media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Google Maps and Google Search. I also built and launched the company website and continue it’s maintenance and that of the other digital platforms as well.
