Psychoanalytic Center of Phila (2012 - 2015 ) Managing Director | Association Management | Leadership Development | Organizational Effectiveness
I joined the organization to provide strategic leadership through its evolution and growth from an unknown mental health professional association to a leading force providing education to advance the practice of psychoanalysis and psychodynamic psychotherapy in the Philadelphia region. ► Forged a cooperative relationship between the Center and a local behavioral health plan to develop a potentially replicable program to support frontline therapists and improve patient care. ► Directed the Center’s successful site visit from its national accrediting organization. Merited a personal citation in the 4 reviewers’ final report for leadership and strategic vision. Consulted with and advised Center leadership in making a successful change in the Center\'s structure and improvement in both strategic and operational functions.

Camden Area Health Education Center (2009 - 2012 ) Program Director | Organizational Development | Program Management
In this role, I directed all activities and functions for 2 mobile health services: the Mobile Health Van, which utilized 3 counselors and a nurse to provide basic health screening and HIV counseling/testing; and the HIV/HEP C Prevention Program – for injection drug users. I administered the Mobile Health Van’s $300K budget, and the 2nd program’s shoestring $65K budget. ► Achieved 95% of contract deliverables on the Mobile Health Van program, regarding number of screenings and HIV tests annually, despite van breakdowns and staff changes. ► Expanded participation in the HIV/HEP C Prevention program 30%, successfully implementing adjunct nursing service and additional day of service.

Arthritis Foundation (2004 - 2009 ) VP, Health Policy & Programs | Organizational Leadership | Association Management
I was promoted to the VP role (2007-08) to assume full responsibility for community programming and professional education. I reported to the Executive Director. My scope involved planning and managing a ~$1.5 million annual budget. I provided leadership on the Medical Advisory and Patient Services committees, developing CME programs and managing committee projects. Additionally, I oversaw dissemination of arthritis self-management program to community sites in Philadelphia. In my prior role, Director of Professional Education (2003-07), I launched the Foundation’s continuing education enterprise for physicians and other health care providers. ► Increased participation in Regional Fellows Conference 25%, largely through expanding marketing to mid-Atlantic rheumatology programs, and garnering higher financial support from pharmaceutical companies. ► Directed entire CME for Philadelphia Department of Public Health, as part of contract to provide arthritis-related education to adult/pediatric physicians and other providers in City health centers. ► Secured the Chapter’s 1st workplace wellness contract to provide 6 weekly on-site fitness sessions and pre-/post-fitness evaluation for employees of Chester County.

I launched the Foundation’s continuing education enterprise for physicians and other health care providers, and wrote manual on implementing CME program for other Arthritis Foundation Chapters and the Children\'s Arthritis Network sites. Cultivated working relationships with national and local leaders in academic medicine, private practice, and medical and allied health professional associations. Additionally, I served as principal staff to the Foundation\'s medical advisory and community service committees.

Public Private Ventures (1999 - 2003 ) Program Manager | Program Implementation | Fund Development
I joined the organization to lead implementation of health nurse home visitation program across 7 Northeast counties in Pennsylvania. That involved guiding sites in securing support from community leaders and organizations for the maternal and child health program. Additionally, I managed all aspects of ongoing training programs for public health nurses. â–º Captured major funding for Replication Services and nurse visitation program sites, by initiating and maintaining relationship with PA state agency. Ensured successful program implementation within all 7 sites. â–º Authored comprehensive manual on Medicaid reimbursement and became Subject Matter Expert / advisor to nurse home visitation program sites nationwide.
